  • Description of Produce as a Broker
A Broker facilitates sales by matching potential buyers and sellers. Unlike a Distributor, a Broker does not take ownership of the product being sold. Instead, the Broker receives a fee (often called a commission) from the buyer, the seller, or both. This business model is common in industries, such as real estate brokerage, stock brokerage, and insurance brokerage.

Revenue model: The Broker receives a fee from the buyer, the seller, or both.

This approach to business model diagrams is based on work by Weill and Vitale.
